Cloud begins to become enraged but keeps his cool, calming down. "I didn't want to tell her how I felt.. I just wanted to help her." Cloud looks down, away from Lara's eyes. "I'm sorry, I understand. I'll go. Just please call me if you need any help. You have my number from Gale, I'm sure." Cloud walks into the Library to gather his things, very obviously displeased.

Cloud looks up from packing his things together and looks at Ayn, surprised she noticed. "Lara dosen't want me to be around here anymore. She thinks I'll just cause trouble for you.." Cloud sighs and straps the sheath to his back, slining his bag of gear over his left shoulder and looking her over.

Gin sat at the table, noticing that Ayn's attention was diverted away. He looks up at Cloud, watching but not saying anything.

Riki watches and bites her lip. Was she causing Ayn more pain too? Doubtful. Ayn hadn't said much to her. Riki sighs and rolls her shoulders. These friendships were very tedious. "Beggars can't be choosers, after all." She looks at Cloud and waves good-bye. Turning her attention to Lara, Riki gets up and walks over to her. "Is there anyway I can help out around here?"

Ayn arches an eyebrow at Cloud, not really understanding. "I don't care if you stay. But I guess it's up to you, really."

Cloud sighs and begins to speak but stops himself. He decided best to keep it to himself. "I'd love to... just speak to Lara about it. No doubt you should see why I can't" Cloud closes his eyes and begins trying to linger there, trying to think of anything to have himself stay longer before Lara pushes him outisde into the cold and rainy night. "So good-bye I guess..."

Riki shifts uneasily. If she wasn't needed, she'd much rather leave. This wasn't her time to be here. These...Abbis...needed to be on their own. "Cloud, would you like some company?"

Ayn frowns slightly, then shrugs. "All right then. I'll see you around I suppose." She'd ask Lara about it later; it really didn't make much sense to her why she'd kick Cloud out. He had stopped Rand, after all.

"Right." Cloud turns and walked to Lara, looking down at her angrily. He then walks outside the castle, crawling on to his bike and reving it up, speeding down the road. "Bitch..."

Lara returns the glare to Cloud as he leaces and then picks up a nearby book.

Ayn sighs as well, frusturated. Ever since a few days ago she's quickly grown to hate having things hidden from her, whether it was for her own sake or not. She gets up and heads into the kitchen for something to eat.

Lara sighs again as Ayn leaves. "I'm just trying to look out for you..." Without another word Lara opens the book and begins to read.

Unable to find anything edible, Ayn plops down at the table and props her elbows up, holding her head in her hands. She feels angry, what else were they hiding from her anyway? Oh, sorry Ayn, but the rest of your family's dead too! Right?
She can feel her trust in the others waning fast, although she's not sure why. They haven't done anything except try to help, why does she feel so angry towards them? Ayn gets up again, wiping tears from her eyes and wandering off to explore the rest of the castle. |

Lara continues reading in her chair. She didn't mean to upset Ayn, but Cloud's emotions would just upset her more. So she was doing the right thing....right?

Cloud looks down at his tire and lifts it up, trying to keep from losing control. His bike slows a bit and he stops it completely, skidding the motorcycle across the pavement and lifting himself from the ground, dusting himself off. "Damn it... What the hell hap-" Cloud unsheathes his sword and looks around, sensing something wrong. "-pened?"

A green-tinted, glass-like orb falls infront of Cloud, remaining there for a moment before it beings to crack. In the cracks bright green light erupts, signifying the coming explosion.

"Oh hell no!" Cloud pulls the sword infront of him and allows the blast of Ultima to hit the flat part of his newly forged blade. He is thrown back many feet away from his bike and darts up, two red orbs circling his body as well as one green orb. "Who ever you are, show yourself now." Cloud grows aggitated at his lack of any power to sense his attacker from his loss of the demon parasite, Havoc.

"Come out? And let you lock on with your magic? Unlikely." A barrage of red knives rain down on Cloud.

The two red orbs become green and a barrier forms around Cloud, blocking all of the knives and tossing them aside. "You're a coward Legion. You can't beat me so you try and use some sneaky celestial skills? Won't work, you obsessive pawn." One of the orbs comes down and floats into the materia slot in his new Buster Sword. He stabs the blade into the ground and a strange light emits from the earth, shining a gentle light on a strange form near Cloud. The light dims and brightens again, keeping the rhythm. Cloud dives to the form, taking one huge slash at it.

The form nimbly evades Cloud and becomes Legion as he moves away. "As if your magic is a match for mine. Llepsid lla cigam!" Cloud's materia orbs immeadiately turn gray, drained of their power and slowly recharging their strength. "Human magic is no match for that of my own. I was an Archdemon before, and now I'm even more powerful."

"We'll see, you leech." Cloud slashes at the the ground, sending a powerful wave uf energy through the ground at Legion.

The Demon is tossed into the air, but he manages to unleash a wave of green energy at Cloud as he falls. "You beat once but now you're out of your league!"

Cloud dives through the energy wave, the shield melting off. He thrusts his sword upward in attempts to skewer the Archdemon.

Riki-who had tagged along with Cloud-watches the battle and decides to be ready to help. Cloud didn't look like he needed too much assistance right now. She stands awkwardly off to the side, Hayate's sword in her hand.

Gin put the book that Lara is reading down, so he could face her. "Lara, I understand you're only trying to help Ayn. But I think it's best for us to stay out of it. I know Ayn is having trouble coping, but we can't put any pressure on her. Try to stay out of it."

Lara shakes her head. "You know just as well as me that Cloud's feelings will only confuse Ayn and cause her more pain, Lord Avalon. She's just a child."
__ Legion takes the blow and backs off as he regenerates. "Foolish mortal, I'm invincibile!" Legion charges forward, his claws posed to strike. |

"Then step in when you see Ayn getting hurt. Don't think it'll happen before it does. Anyway, you're right. She's just a child. To US. Remember, she's also a human. As is the Strife boy, and in human years, she's old enough to make her own decisions. She was raised a human, therefore she thinks like a human."

"She's still half Abbis. Her human upbringing has confused her. She has to fully accept who and what she is before she can even think about dealing with emotions Cloud wants to bring to her."

Cloud dodges and cuts into legions arm, empowering his sword with Ultima the second the blade goes through. The blast emits, with enough froce to cause a crater in the earth. Wich it easily did, harming everything but its caster.

"It'll take time. Mr. Strife has feelings for her. Don't get in the way. What's she gonna do once she gets used to being an Abbis and finds out she's only just a little child? She's not gonna go out with five year olds. Let her do her own thing. Stay out of it."

Ayn eventually finishes exploring, unfortunately she's found herself to be lost somewhere in the underground tunnels. She sighs and enters a vacant room, lighting the fireplace with a flick of her wrist. She flops down on the bed and stares blankly at the fire, her thoughts elsewhere.

Legion's arm is ripped apart and he moves backwards. "Another time, Strife." Without another word, the Demon disappears.

Cloud rubs his face, where he had landed when he was thrown back by the Ultima blast of Legions. He sighs goes to examine his bike and cuses as he looks at his tire. He could ride it back to the Castle like that, it wasn't far off. But did he really feel like taking a beating from an Abbis again after Megiddo? Hell yes. He hopped on his bike and rode carefull back down the road to the Castle in the distance.

Ayn yawns and stretches, shifting her position on the bed and sneezing. Apparently Gale never bothered to wash the linens down here, it's incredibly dusty. Not like she was in the mood to do laundry anyway.
Ayn yawns again and closes her eyes, feeling somewhat relaxed. |
